Supporting learning and leading from San Francisco to Monterey.

San Francisco at sundown, view from Treasure Island.

I’m an educator who makes short films for organizations in the counties of San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, and Monterey.

I have a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts, publications in journals like Teaching Philosophy, College Teaching, and Philosophy of Music Education Review, and decades of experience in a variety of teaching environments.

The main event in each of my films is a series of conversations. We collaborate in advance on putting together a short list of topics to discuss. These conversations become the core of a short, promotional documentary with a positive, motivating message.

I prepare a teleprompter only where detailed, legalistic attention to language is a priority, such as formal videography for internal corporate communication.

I also have a decade of experience planning, scripting, and shooting short films for inclusion in interactive educational media (to be posted to an organization’s learning management system).

Contact information follows the links to films below.

Sincerely,

David
